That screen is the result of my trying to set the DNS to point people here, I’ve tried so many things and that mystery screen is the best I’ve got so far.
None of those efforts touch the actual problem which I do not have first hand knowledge of, just working theories.
If I’d of downloaded a back-up I could have launched my own new server but I didn’t and can’t access one either.

At least he offered a goodbye which I appreciate, with the forum forwarded here and so few members reporting in I suspect some senior attitudes regarding change, won’t have any.
We’ve been in a bad way for a long time, so this is due, a make or break moment, which provides opportunities, the reality is this needs to be believed in to work, by members and owners.
I had a 20 minute discussion last night night with one of the owners with more due soon, as always I both speak what I see and listen to whats said, problem is I have no real say to affect what others do.

It’s sorta up in the air as I understand it. There is a waiting period for resolution going on from what I gathered from Robert’s comments. I think it would be GREAT if we could somehow own the forum space as a collective.
I’d say no but I can’t say anything definitively, I could write a book about all the things not said, Stan is correct, “up in the air” as its all being discussed.
Wow, I guess I just assumed the forum would bounce back like always. Maybe you are right (this time). If this really is the end of the forum then I guess good byes are appropriate, sucks to see it happen though. Despite my trollish behavior I always enjoyed the discussions even if I needed a cool down timeout a time or two. It’s been good fellas, I will definitely miss the forum.
Your behavior was not unlike that of any of us, which in part is what we were about, you have a tough life and plenty of maturity to live up to, the forum was where any of us could come and put that aside without repercussion, we all live in small worlds anyhow, might as well venture out into a bit of crazy while still safe at home, or work as many do.
Yeah work, now that is a crazy place. What I am always amazed at is how many people don’t think like we do yet there is a significant amount of us that all think alike on here. Now that is the exact reason why I liked this forum.

It was covered yes, essentially the reason this blog is up is its on a different server than the videos and forum were on, right now I don’t even have an answer to if our content is secure or not.

Question #1 I not being sensitive, I have always seen wisdom in age. And have seen a lot of things in my 52 yrs.
I remember a 27yr. Old arguing with a 56yr. Old railroader of over 35 yrs. Experience . And the 56yr.old finally relenting to the 27 yr. I did a full buzz cut a week back, head/beard and got back about ten years in appearance, been working around the house/yard and still not feeling it physically, achy/sore
I was told forum recovery was being worked on yesterday, can’t say more as more wasn’t said.
Being active goes a long way to longevity.. My Grandfather lived to be 89 and in his 60’s He took back up the hobby of his youth which was Raccoon Hunting . And He would walk up those hills like a younger person. He was quite remarkable.. I went with him many nights. Usually on a Friday Night. Created lasting memories.
Friday night coon hunting?
It was a lot of fun hunting with my grandfather, and my Dad even went quite a few times. My Dad had purchased an H&R 676 22 revolver with a 12″ barrel from a guy he knew from church and it was the perfect coon hunting pistol. I practiced with it alot it had the 22mag and 22lr interchangeable cylinders. I was always the shooter. I could shoot em right in the eye into the tallest tree. Open sighted all someone had to do was sit behind me or stand behind me with the spotlight.. which were battery power coon lights, (Coal Miners lights) which were modified to be carried on your belt and when my Dad passed away it came to me. It isnt the greatest thing to look at but when I hold it I’m 16 yrs. old again. All the memories start flooding back. ( Almost get teary )
Once in a very steep revene the dogs tree a coon it was probably 80 feet straight up the revene so steep one couldnt stand on it correctly and shoot or else you would want to fall over . But the tree was growing half way up. We almost gave up until I said hey wonder if me and donny laid on our backs He can shine the light up and I will shoot it.
I pulled the gun shot once and one of em said you hit it . But I had to shoot again. I was directly under it as it was our only vantage point for a clear shot. After that second shot without even so much as holding on or anything it fell straight down and before I could move it hit me in my right shoulder.
(Now as any experienced coon hunter knows sometimes they come out still with plenty of fight left. They have razor sharp teeth and will rip you a new one. )
Well when it hit my shoulder I jolted and must have went 50 feet down over that bank( Donny was laying almost shoulder to shoulde r and he screamed..lol) with a loaded gun…lol but I didn’t have my finger in the trigger gaurd and never damaged the gun at all.
Dad was there that night it was in a place we called the Finley hollow.
Ahhh the Memories.
I did, too , keep a goatee though.
