I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again now, no matter where you live, you cannot afford to abandon the fight for gun rights in California, or New York, or Massachusetts. The insane stuff that gets passed in those states eventually bleeds out into other surrounding states. Eventually, given enough time, it will make its way to your state, and then it will be too late.
As a prime example, look what Bob Ferguson, the Attorney General of Washington State is proposing now. He is pushing for gun laws identical to what we have here in California; an “assault weapon” ban and a ban on magazines holding more than 10 rounds. There is also a similar push in Oregon right now too. And currently on the ballot in Nevada is a bill prohibiting private party sales (passed in CA a number of years ago).
There is no logic behind these bans (at least that does not require installation of my tinfoil hat) and there are no statistics to support them, but that does not stop these anti-gun crusaders from pushing full steam ahead.
Folks, like it or not, we are all in this together. To quote Benjamin Franklin, “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.”
